Development and service of drilling fluid

Drilling of the interval of casing running (303-2187 m) was carried out with the utilization of a polymer drilling mud with low solid phase content. The interval was drilled without accidents or complications, minor delays were caused mainly by technical problems with new non-standard equipment.

The well is being drilled using pitless technology. This time, a multistage mud cleaning system was reinforced with a coagulation-flocculation unit (CFU). Such approach ensured the recovery of service water from the waste volume of the flush fluid and reduced the amount of waste to be disposed of several times. Regenerated water was reused to prepare a new volume of drilling fluid.

Taking into account previous experience, the column was run in one section. Running and cementing were successful. Now we are preparing to replace the mud with the polymer-inhibited drilling mud PIBR-2M, which will be used for the drilling of the next interval.
